On the 13th of November round-table discussion «Russian Law Journal: Opening the Russian Law to the World» was held at the «Business Hall» of International press-centre of RIA News.

Today scientific community plays special role in the development of full fledged dialogue between Russian scholars and their foreign colleagues.

During the round table experts discussed way of cross-cultural interaction and presented fundamentally new ground for dialogue between Russian and foreign lawyers – Russian Law Journal.

Russian Law Journal – is new academic journal about law in English, oriented for foreign audience. Nearly ten scientific articles about law will be published in the journal four times a year.

The journal has been created by a group of members of leading Russian universities – Lomonosov Moscow State University, Saint-Petersburg State University, Moscow State Law Academy and Higher School of Economics. Eminent scientists, professors of leading international legal schools: Yale University, Harvard, Sorbonne, Cambridge, New-York Univetrsity and also scientists of leading legal universities of Russia became members of editorial council.

Participants of round table noted that Russian science was going through such times when traditional estimation of successfulness became out of date and it is necessary to turn to new system, which is necessary to adapt to. In view of this fact great hopes are laid on new generation of lawyers, who have better basis, and the journal is a confirmation to this fact.
