International Economic Compliance Report: Sanctions–Results in 2018 and Forecast for 2019

The International Economic Compliance practice of ART DE LEX released its report titled “Sanctions–Results in 2018 and Forecast for 2019.”

The report reflects the most significant events of 2018 regarding the application of sanctions against Russia by the US and the EU, including the expansion of sanctions lists, the application of CAATSA, the Kremlin Aggression Protection Act (DASKA) of the US, the withdrawal of the US from the nuclear deal with Iran and the subsequent reaction of the EU, and other events.

A separate part of the report is devoted to the description of specific cases, based on the approaches of regulators and the courts.

The report concludes with a forecast about the development of sanctions regulation for 2019.
