In the grand halls of the Yusupov Palace Moscow there took place a gala reception held by the legal firm ART DE LEX on the occasion of the Russian Lawyer’s Day

On December 7, 2012 in the grand halls of the Yusupov Palace Moscow there took place a gala reception held by the legal firm ART DE LEX on the occasion of the Russian Lawyer’s Day.

The firm ART DE LEX is one of those Russian enterprises which are well-known for their devotion to development and implementation of Pro bono projects in the field of culture and education. Thus now in order to further science and sponsor young talent ART DE LEX in concert with the international law firm Pinsent Masons held this year’s first student papers on comparative jurisprudence contest whose final was timed to coincide with the celebration of the professional holiday – Lawyer’s Day.

The contest was fought by 35 papers written by the students of the Russian Academy of Jurisprudence, five of which reached the final. The placement of the winners had been kept secret up to the very reception when the suspense was formally relieved and the prize-winners named to the sound of classic tunes played by the Bolshoi Orchestra Soloists. Every finalist was invited to keep up his/her professional contact with ART DE LEX, while the prize-winners were awarded scholarships for the second term of the 2012-2013 academic year. On top of all the first prize winners, the creative duet of Devi Calatozy and Paul Kosyakov shall go to London to have a short-term training at the headquarters of the international law firm Pinsent Masons, LLP. ART DE LEX is planning to keep up its programs of sponsoring young Russian professionals turning the aforementioned contest into an annual event.

The outstanding fete had a gala ending: the participants were greeted by Sergey Mazaev and witnessed the performance of his rock group symbolically named the Moral Code.
