Antimonopoly Forum 2022

Last week, on the 22 September, Antimonopoly Forum 2022 was held, organized by the Association of Antimonopoly Experts together with the FAS of Russia. The ART DE LEX antimonopoly regulation team headed by its Managing Partner Dmitry Magonya took part in the event in full strength.

Dmitry, moderating the second in order, but not in terms of its relevance session «Prices and Tariffs», set the general positive tone of discussing pricing, giving the antimonopoly regulator and business people an opportunity to take part in the dialogue.

At the same time, the legal agenda is rapidly changing under the impact of external circumstances, but even in spite of that, Sergey Kazaryan, Head of the ART DE LEX Antimonopoly Regulation Practice team, managed to discuss, in the form of a vigorous debate, what digital platforms will be like tomorrow and how antimonopoly regulation will change.

Meanwhile, at a parallel session, the most contentious issues were those of self-regulation of business entities dominating a commodity market. Oksana Pavlukhina, Head of the ART DE LEX Antimonopoly Regulation Practice team, spoke about the role played in this situation by trade and distribution policies and antimonopoly compliance.

It can be said that the topic of self-regulation of business entities was addressed at each session of the forum, not excepting the session «Anticrisis Retail», where Pavel Magonya, Head of the ART DE LEX Antimonopoly Regulation Practice team, discussed with retail representatives foreign experience of self-regulation and proposed to implement it in the domestic self-regulation practice.
