Yaroslav Kulik, partner and the head of Competition Practice at ART DE LEX, was elected as a vice-chairman of Government Procurement Subcommittee of the International Bar Association (IBA)

The Government Procurement Subcommittee of the International Bar Association (IBA) links professionals in the area of public procurement from the public and private sectors to inform members about developments in their field. It provides a platform for discussing laws, regulations, and cases involving both international and domestic procurement. The subcommittee also offers its expertise in international discussions about procurement issues. For example, it was an observer at the UNCITRAL Working Group on Procurement and offered opinions about pending revisions to the UNCITRAL Model Procurement Law and its Guidelines.

Established in 1947, the IBA, is the premier organization of international attorneys, bar associations, and law societies, with 55,000 lawyers and 195 bar associations and legal societies. It plays a role in reforming international law and influencing the legal profession in all parts of the world.

Yaroslav Kulik is one of the few associates from Russia who has won election to such an important and honorable position. ART DE LEX congratulates Mr. Kulik upon assuming his new position on the Government Procurement Subcommittee and wishes the organization well in its endeavors.
