Deloitte called to account

Kommersant became aware of the details of the dispute between the Starr Russia Investments fund and the Deloitte auditor. The fund seeks recovery of $110 million damages for unprofitable investment in the Russian Investtorgbank (ITB, undergoing sanation) made on the advice of Deloitte in 2008. After four years of litigation in the USA, the parties have agreed to transfer their dispute to the Russian jurisdiction. 

«This will not allow the fund to replead in the USA, but this does not prevent filing a lawsuit in another jurisdiction»,— comments ART DE LEX Partner Artur Zurabyan.
