Dmitry Magonya makes a report on “Western technological giants as a threat to the sovereignty of the state” during hearings at the RF Civic Chamber

The speakers included Valery Fadeev, counsellor to the RF President, Chairman of the Council for Civil Society Development and Human Rights under the President of the Russian Federation; Alexander Malkevich, member of the RF Civic Chamber, First Deputy Chairman of the Commission for Development of Information Society; Artyom Kiryanov – member of the RF Civic Chamber; Igor Ashmanov, Managing Partner of “Ashmanov and Partners”; Konstantin Malofeev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tsargrad Group of Companies. 

 
Dmitry Magonya: “The current level of digitalization of society and the state of the ICT industry entail a growing number of challenges, to which the state, business and average users should be prepared. Russian online and TV channels, radio, other mass media were among the first to realise the need to protect their “digital rights”. The practices implemented by Google, including in the video hosting market, require not only the attention of the antimonopoly body, but also system measures to improve cybersecurity legislation”.
