The partners and leading lawyers of ART DE LEX report on the transition to the bar

Managing Partner Dmitry Magonya noted that a large part of today’s legal business generally supports the existence of a bar association. Nevertheless, both experienced and relatively new lawyers who have just joined the bar note the need for the further development of the institution, in order to strengthen its role in society and increase its prestige. The stated goal of the bar is to improve the legal profession.

For several years, ART DE LEX has taken an active part in the discussions about reforming the bar, representing the non-advocate portion of the legal community.

Yu. S. Pilipenko, the president of the Federal Chamber of Advocates of the Russian Federation, said, “we welcome our colleagues to the bar. We hope for active cooperation, for the benefit of the association. We wish you success in your professional development and personal growth.”

Dmitry Magonya noted that “the president of the Russian Federation has submitted legislative proposals to the State Duma that the Presidential council for the development of civic institutions and human rights developed, with the active assistance of the lawyers’ community, which is interested in strengthening the guarantees on the independence of lawyers. They offer hope that we will more effectively protect our own rights and the rights of our clients.”

ART DE LEX is a national law firm that, since 2005, has been providing advisory services to Russian and foreign companies operating in Russia and abroad. ART DE LEX traditionally participates in ensuring the constructive interaction between the business community and the state. Representatives of the firm are active participants of various advisory and expert councils for public authorities and public institutions. These bodies largely determine the development of legislation and law enforcement practice in the country.
