Dmitry Magonya commented on the objection of Poland to Nord Stream 2

The Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK, the local antitrust regulator) objects to creating a joint venture Nord Stream 2 to construct and manage the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. A representative of the Nord Stream 2 AG company commented that future shareholders should follow the procedure for merger control transactions based on the laws of Poland and Germany. He proposed to ask the participants of the consortium all other questions.

Dmitry Magonya, the managing partner of the ART DE LEX law firm, says that if UOKiK does not change the decision, the European Commission will come to the final decision. It is possible to appeal the Polish refusal to the EU court, but it's a long way to go.
