Yulia Shilova | comments for ADPASS: Tax authorities have turned their back on Russ Outdoor

Tax Inspectorate number 1 of the Federal Tax Service for the city of Moscow has given up the idea of making bankrupt the Laysa company (former advertising partner of Russian Railways, belongs to the Russ Outdoor Group) that owes it no less than 69.9 million roubles. The tax authorities entered into a settlement with the company. Simultaneously, the Federal Tax Service unit released blocked accounts of other group companies, except for CJSC Olymp (operates under a contract with Russian Railways), as ADPASS discovered. The crisis in the relationship of a major outdoor advertising player with the tax authorities could be caused by Russ Outdoor relocation from Novorizhskoe shosse to Moscow, to the office complex of one of its founders — VTB Bank. Tax authorities usually tend to recover tax arrears from a legal entity that changes its tax residence, note experts.

«A petition in bankruptcy and suspension of operations are often used by tax authorities as a method to fight payment delays, to motivate the debtor to cure the delinquency», previously said to ADPASS Head of Reconstruction and Bankruptcy at the ART DE LEX law firm Yulia Shilova.
