Sergei Kazaryan | A commentary for Kommersant: The FAS comes to grips with rolled products

Sergei Kazaryan, head of the Antitrust Practice group at ART DE LEX, says that the price trend in the same direction as global quotations is a strong argument in defense of metallurgists. The FAS has also developed and published "Principles of economic analysis of pricing practices for their compliance with the Law on Protection of Competition," which can be applied to the analysis of prices for rolled steel. The lawyer says that these principles allow the Russian market price to be tied to foreign stock exchange quotations (for example, the LME) and price indicators of such agencies as Argus or Platts.
