Banks are scheming

Sovkombank is willing to restore RUB 137 mln from Tele2 because of ungrounded high prices for SMS marketing services. This is a third bank that is filing a lawsuit to the Telecom giants, prior records indicated Tinkoff (RUB 1,1 Bln suit) and Renessance Credit (RUB 250 mln suit) joining the effort. Telecom giants claim that banks did not suffer any losses and even if they did, their clients paid for it. Experts say that banks have all the chances to succeed in courts. 

One way or another banks have to substantiate a link between losses and any possible unlawful behavior – says Sergei Kazarian, Head of the Antitrust Practice Group at ART DE LEX law firm.
