Russian FAS books a fine on Booking.com

The Moscow Arbitration Court legitimized today the 1.3 billion fine on Booking.com, imposed by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS). ADPASS asked lawyers and tourism experts, to what extent this decision is justified and how sensitive it is for the largest tourism booking service.

Dmytry Magonya, Managing Partner of ART DE LEX law firm, believes that the chances to challenge the court's decision are low. ‘The fine was imposed based on the decision of FAS of Russia, which was recognized as a justified and final court judgement. There are no reasons to doubt fairness of the fine calculation,’ he concluded.
