Germany is preparing for an emergency situation for the reason of transfer of gas contracts into roubles

The FRG government has started preparation for an emergency situation (ES) in the country in the case of termination of gas supplies from Russia. By now, it is about just the first stage of the so-called emergency action plan that involves strict control over storage, import and consumption of gas, reported 30 March in Berlin German Minister for Economic Affairs Robert Habeck. The second stage involves recognition of an «actually serious deterioration of the situation with gas supplies». At the third stage, a regime of emergency may be introduced in the country.

The Germany actions are in line with the EU rules, agrees Managing Partner of ART DE LEX Dmitry Magonya. He does not rule out that in case of further increase of the threat of termination of gas supplies other EU countries will follow suit.
