Yaroslav Kulik, head of the Competition Practice of the ART DE LEX Law firm, is elected to the general council of the non-commercial Supporting Competition Partnership

The non-commercial Supporting Competition Partnership represents a platform for the business community and the state regarding competition promotion and antimonopoly policy.

The partnership is a collaboration of the Federal Arbitration Court and the judicial community to address such issues as effective antimonopoly legislation practice and business competition rulemaking. The main aspects of the partnership are:

  • assistance in effective antimonopoly legislation practice in cooperation with antimonopoly bodies;
  • assistance in developing and supporting effective state policy on competition;
  • assistance in constructive dialog between business and antimonopoly bodies; 
  • cooperation in the area of competition with the European Commission, the International Competition Network (ICN), and government bodies related to competition law in the USA, EU, and other countries; and
  • the analysis and implementation of international competition experience.

The partnership was created in 2007 and now comprises more than 90 leading lawyers and economists. Among the members of the non-commercial partnership are leading Russian and international representatives of various companies, such as CMS, Clifford Chance, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Linklaters, DLA Piper, Baker & McKenzie, Salans, Herbert Smith, Goltsblat BLP, Hannes Snellman, MTS JSC, VIMPELCOM JSC, Megafon JSC, and SIBUR Holding JSC.

The new general council includes such representatives as Anna Numerova (Egorov, Puginsky, Afanasiev and Partners company adviser), Vitaly Dianov (associate for Goltsblat BLP), Natalia Korosteleva (partner for Egorov, Puginsky, Afanasiev and Partners Company), and Kseniya Tunik (associate for the White & Case law firm).

The non-commercial partnership has established itself as a professional, objective, and effective forum that facilitates dialog about antimonopoly regulation. The partnership has elaborated on the most significant legislation and statutory acts of the Russian Federal Arbitration Court.

ART DE LEX congratulates Mr. Kulik upon assuming his position on the new general council and wishes the partnership well in its endeavors.
