Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) stood up for Russia Today

Roskomnadzor sent a letter to Google (owns YouTube) with the requirement to unblock the German-language channel RT auf Sendung, which is a part of Russia Today. The Federal Service demanded to explain the specific reasons for blocking. If the videohosting fails to release the restrictions, YouTube may be fully or partially blocked in Russia.

If the videohosting does not unblock the channel, Google will receive a warning from Roskomnadzor. In the case of a failure to obey the warning, under the Russian law YouTube may be fully or partially blocked in Russia, with imposition of an administrative penalty on Google, who owns YouTube. However, the likelihood of this is not too big. According to ART DE LEX Partner Artur Zurabyan, even if the case is developed further, it will be outside Russia.
