Attorney of ART DE LEX law firm Aleksander Petrov in his comments to AG stated that the question of cancellation of public acts by way of self-control traditionally causes a lot of practical problems. He explained that the legislation does not contain any criteria for enforcement of this right and does not delimit cases of cancellation of acts granting rights or cancelling responsibility, on the one hand, and acts through which a person is deprived of rights or is brought to liability, on the other hand. Overall, as a rule public authorities in such matters are governed by their own interests and make decisions at their own disposal, added Aleksander Petrov.
